Julia Montes

Julia Montes

We all know Julia Montes as Katarina in Walang Hanggan (Infinity) series. But her real name is Mara Hautea Schnittka. Or we can call her as Julia Montes in her screen name. Her birthday lies today, March 19, 1995. She will be turning 18 years old today. As we all know, Julia have made various roles in her life.

Julia have made 22 television appearances and 8 movie appearances. Her breakthrough role was when she played as Clara in Mara Clara 2010, the revival-hit from where Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes played as Mara and Clara respectively. The original Mara Clara run from August 17, 1992 to February 14, 1997 with 1,209 episodes. It ended in five years hiatus and a top-hit makers in the entertainment industry. The revival Mara Clara 2010 run from October 25, 2010 to June 3, 2011 with 158 episodes. The young audience have made Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo in their stardom. In their part ways, Kathryn have made successful series in Princess and I while Julia also have made successful series in Walang Hanggan (Infinity).

She was also part of Goin’ Bulilit and graduated from the cast when she turned teenager. One of the memorable shows I watched playing as Daniella Valencia, younger version of Ruffa Gutierrez in I Love Betty La Fea. She also played as Mara in Gimik 2010, a revival hit during Rico Yan‘s days in Gimik in 1996-1999.

After Mara Clara 2010 hit in 2010-2011, she made a remarkable role as Katarina, a leading lady in the series of Walang Hanggan (Infinity). With Coco Martin as her leading man, her role was an inevitable character. Maybe I was too curious about her role. But I didn’t mention anything. So I asked, “why I picked her?”

It is because she mainly matures in her role in any television series or in movie appearances. Julia also have made as a daughter of Maricel Soriano’s Bahay Kubo in Metro Manila Film Fest in 2007. She played as young Lily. If you are a movie lover, you will remember her. And mostly one of the successful movies she made today was A Moment In Time. Her onscreen partner was Coco Martin.

This article also marked as the special edition of first studio anniversary here in my studio articles. Julia Montes is one of my favorite stars today although I haven’t see her in real life. But she wasn’t that taller. Because no matter what the measurement was in the newspaper, or any in social media, you just have to meet her. In my experiences, I saw John Lloyd Cruz, Sarah Geronimo, Mark Bautista, Nikki Valdez, Giselle Toengi and Rico Yan in real life. Oh and by the way, Mark Bautista is my distant relative. No one knows him yet because he transfers to GMA-7 network.
